About OJPCR

OJPCR: The Online Journal of Peace and Conflict Resolution is a resource for students, teachers and practitioners in fields relating to the reduction and elimination of destructive conflict. It is a free, yet valuable, source of information to aid anyone trying to work toward a less violent and more cooperative world.

OJPCR is only published on the Internet. As a result, we are able to keep production costs at a minimum and also provide a wide variety of formats and can be more creative than a standard print journal.

Submitting an Article to OJPCR

OJPCR accepts submissions relating to the fields of peace studies and conflict resolution, broadly defined. To inquire about the applicability of topics, contact editor@trinstitute.org.

OJPCR publishes articles in two separate sections, Experience and Analysis. Experience articles are not peer-reviewed and are often shorter essays, whereas Analysis articles are peer-reviewed and are expected to be more academically rigorous.

When submitting an article, please email the article to editor@trinstitute.org.

Make sure to include:

* The article in either Word, WordPerfect, or Rich Text format,

* A biographical statement about yourself or a CV,

* Whether you wish to submit to the Experience or Analysis sections, and

* Your contact information.

In addition to ensuring the files are in an accessible word processing format, texts should follow the guidelines for formatting from the Chicago Manual of Style. Articles should include footnotes, references, and where necessary tables and figures. If figures are submitted, if possible submit these as separate graphics files.

While we will occasionally reprint an article with the author’s and publisher's consent where the original is not widely available in print and not available elsewhere on the Internet, we expect that other submissions will consist of primarily original work not elsewhere published.
