OJPCR publishes articles in two separate sections, Experience and Analysis. Experience articles are not peer-reviewed and are often shorter essays, whereas Analysis articles are peer-reviewed and are expected to be more academically rigorous.

When submitting an article, please email the article to Make sure to include:

  • The article in either Word, WordPerfect, or Rich Text format,
  • A biographical statement about yourself or a CV,
  • Whether you wish to submit to the Experience or Analysis sections, and
  • Your contact information.

In addition to ensuring the files are in an accessible word processing format, texts should follow the guidelines for formatting from the Chicago Manual of Style. Articles should include footnotes, references, and where necessary tables and figures. If figures are submitted, if possible submit these as separate graphics files.

While we will occasionally reprint an article with the author’s and publishers consent where the original is not widely available in print and not available elsewhere on the Internet, we expect that other submissions will consist of primarily original work not elsewhere published.
